Default I'm finally introducing myself

First let me say that I have been reading the TDC threads for about 4 months and feel like I know many of you. You all are so kind and generous with your wisdom and motivation. I have been low carbing since July and have not been faithful for a couple of months. I really need to get back on track. My whole family is lcing. Husband, almost 15yr.old daughter and 7 yr.old son. The children are eating fruits and when they are with friends I leave it up to them. I have absolutely no willpower so I have thrown everything out that is not allowed. I look forward to getting to know everyone and thanks again for your words of encouragement. Happy New Year, Maureen

My whole family is Low Carbing too. I don't cook special I just cook low carb. My DH who has diabetes has had normal blood suger ever since we started the low carbing. I have lost 49 pounds so far. He has lost about 15. My DS is losing some too but I don't know how much. He is 27 and lives with us while going to college.

Welcome Want2bfit

The TDC is a great group, lots of support. Glad to see you are still around, I thought you had disappeared!

If your whole family is LCing, that will be much easier!

Welcome, Want2bfit! I like your name. It must be nice having your whole family LCing; I'm the only one in my household eating this way, although the rest of them have definitely cut back on the junk food.

Welcome to TDC. You'll find tons of support around here, a bit of wisdom, and a lot of silliness at times.

Wishing you all success,

Scott

Welcome, Maureen! I did the cupboard purge when I got serious with LC'ing back in September. It makes it a lot easier not having any temptations around the house. Although my DH and DD are not formally LC'ing, they have not complained (too much anyway) that they are being fed LC meals. Good luck to you!

Welcome! I'm new, started a week ago.
Man, I wish my family could LC or at least eat the sweets away from the house. :-) Not gonna happen with 3 donut loving girls and a husband. lol
Look forward to seeing you here.

Thank you all for the amazing welcome. Day 2 of starting again has gone well so far. Those of you who need to cook for those that aren't lcing are truely the motivated ones. Just don't know how you do it. When my children started eating fruit it was too hard to resist a slice of apple. Since I do the shopping, I have the power. It doesn't hurt that we are all tired of our extra weight. Thanks again for the warm welcome. Blessings, Maureen
