Hi, all! I'm going to the I-X Center Food Show on Friday, November 14. Is anyone else planning to go? I have a ticket for Mike "Iron Chef" Symon's session on late Friday afternoon.

One of the reasons I do go is to find products or talk to company representatives about products for people with food allergies (which encompasses wheat, gluten, yeast and sugar) to find out how responsive the marketplace is. Let me tell you - NOT! But I still talk to chefs and others to urge them to place sugar-free, wheat-free desserts on their menus so folks with food allergies can still enjoy a birthday or other celebration. Not being able to have a dessert is tough. But I also go to have some fun, buy products and talk with other folks about food. I just wish they would have something other than the high-carb pasta pavilion sponsored by Bertolli.

In any case, if anyone else is going, maybe we can meet at the I-X Center. I plan on showing up around 1pm on Friday and stay through the evening rush, getting dinner in the area (100th Bomber Group is open again). Where two or three are gathered...Cheers!
