Jeanne, there is an excellent site called Thyroid.about.com

It is hosted by Mary Shoman, and although I have had thyroid disease for 45 of my 49 years, I have learned a lot from Mary. She also answers personal emails. One thing she suggested was to try adding Cytomel (T3) to a T4 regimen (Synthroid, Levoxyl). Most doctors just prescribe T4.

I have been taking Cytomel for a year now and feel so much better than I did. My doctor is pretty current on trends and research, and he thought it would be a good idea to try it.
