Angry My Thyroid is not cooperating with me!

After 6 months of LC and being stalled the last 7 weeks I am getting frustrated

I've tried most of the stall breaking advice from upping calories to 2300 per day 70%fat, more exercise and even the dreaded "FAT FAST" (if anyone can do that for more than a day they are my hero).

Last week I started a CKD to try and get things going and after gaining 8 pounds from the carb-up I have lost 6 pounds of it as of this morning.

I started taking my waking temps this week to see if I might now have a low thyroid. My temps were Mon. 96.9 Tue. 97 wed. 96.5 Thurs. 96.2 and Fri. 96.2.

Monday afternoon I started taking Thyrolean with Guggles to see if it might help but as you can see my temps have been going down. My temp usually comes up to 98.6 by mid afternoon.

How long does it take for guggles to start working?

I am going to schedule a test with my doctor next week. Should I stop taking the guggles before the test?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill, from my understanding it takes a few weeks for you to benefit from their thyroid boosting effects.

Dan wrote a bit about it in this post: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...&threadid=46569

Not sure about the rest of your question.... but I am sure you'll get some help

BTW, I'm with you on the Fat Fast - 1 day was more than enough for me.

Nat

I might wait a few weeks then to give thyrolean more time to work before scheduling a thyroid test.

Thanks Nat.
