Default Best things about not smoking

Yep it may have already been done, but I dident find it if it has, lets take a look at ourselves and and find the things that make not smoking eaiser:

I really really like that fact that I can breath better, and through my nose, before this I walked around with my mouth open because my nose never could get enough air to my lungs,

The smell of my house, now in the morning I open the windows just for the hell of it, before I used to do it to let the cloud of smoke out,

My children no longer stink of smoke and sleep better,

My house no longer has horrid ashtrays to clean, and anyway ash never seemed to make it into the ashtray, I was forever vacumning the floor,

My kids no longer have to watch out for mums hot smoke when they come up for a cuddle, also they no longer have to stand down wind from me, they no longer get pissed of with smoke going into there eyes.

Thats all I can think of for now

Regards Joanne

Lightbulb Great idea for a thread!

When my apartment was painted and recarpeted last year I started smoking outside because it smelled like new in here, so one of my favourite things about not smoking is not getting all bundled up and standing outside in the cold and rain just to have a smoke! And the smell in my truck is just a normal smell now, not a stale smoke smell.

I also like putting perfume on now and knowing that it won't be masked in a matter of minutes now by smoke.

I like being able to smell things that I never smelled before. (Except the BO that I never knew one of friends has! Pee-ew!)

I like being able to kiss my boyfriend who quit about 4 months ago and know that I don't taste like an ashtray.

I like being able to do things without thinking "I better have a smoke first" because you don't know when you'll be able to have the next one, like at movies and such.

I like not having to excuse myself from the table at a restaurant to go and have a smoke when I'm the only smoker there.

I like being able to say "I'm sorry, I don't smoke" when people ask to borrow a smoke.

That's my list for now. I'm sure there will be more as the length of time that I don't smoke grows and grows!

Been quit now for almost a year.

Don't drink as much coffee as I used to do because hey, a smoke and a cup of joe just seem to go together for me.

My pick-up doesn't smell like an ashtray now. (and we all know how important a Texan's pick-up is to him!) LOL!

Blood pressure is better!

Last but certainly not least, my sense of smell is great again!
