Default Sugar to Splenda conversion

I have a family receipe that says I need 2/3C sugar. How do I substitute Splenda? Does the packets measure differently than the pourable? I only have packets. Please help I need to make these tomorrow. Someplaces I read the ratio is 1 for 1 but I am not sure that is correct.

Thanks for your help.

Each packet has the equivalent of 2 teaspoons of sugar. The packets are more concentrated than the pourable Splenda.
So for a recipe that has 2/3 cup - assuming a cup is 240mL (48 teaspoons), 2/3 would be 160mL (32 tsp), so you would need 16 packets.

Yep,

24 Splenda packets are the same sweetness as a cup of sugar.

Ok is it 16 or is it 24? Anyone else? When I figured it out on a conversion chart for 1 for 1 it came out to be 18 packets. Maybe I should just use that.

2/3rd of a cup would be 16 packets. Using 18 would not cause a problem.

Thanks I originally read your first response wrong. It was for a cup not 2/3C. Thanks! I am going to make them now.

I have found Splenda to be sweeter than sugar, so I usually hold back just a bit, especially with a new recipe.
