Unhappy Feeling a bit overwhelmed

The last year has been wretched on me. I found out I had pcos, ibs, hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, hypertension, and now I am being checked for endometriosis, which I have every symptom in the book.I have had other diagnoses before this year but I have been use to those for awhile now.

Ugh, when is it gonna end. Everytime I turn around I am getting a new pill for something. I am handling as best as I can and making the best out of it by getting as healthy as I can but I am getting sick of having to deal with this stuff! I guess this is a pity party but this sucks

Having kids use to be first now its on the back burner, the far back burner

thanks for letting me vent

Hi April

Of course you are overwheelmed but you've made fantastic progress. Also, I don't know if you've done much LC research but LC helps with all the ailments you've mentioned above. I had severe stomach pain for years which docs could never figure out and now six months on LC I don't have it anymore.

You're doin great.

hi,

Vent ANYTIME!! I can somewhat relate. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and PCOS in the last year and a half. I've come a long way and so have you. WOW!!! You are doing great with the weight loss which will help a lot of the symptoms you are having. I recently lost 22 lbs, have about 15 more to go and my cycles are normal now, my skin on my arms has cleared up, hair stopped falling out. I know there are days when you feel jipped, I know i do but it does get better and it will, just stay positive and on those days you don't feel optimistic you can come here and vent!! Take care

Danyele

Hey April

I still have my PCOS symptoms but I don't have the I.R. symptoms as much anymore unless I eat badly. My stomach probs are pretty much gone though again unless I eat junk.

You've lost a tremendous amount of weight and you are doing fabolous!

Thanks so much ladies

I have af back on my own and ovulate but its considered a weak ovulation. I had acne when I went off bcp but since I have been ovulating it has completely cleared up. My acanthosis nigricans is almost completely gone, which is wonderful to me. I have had it for 17 years. I was thin for 12 of those years and I still had it but with the glucophage after a year it is gone. My main problem now is the endometriosis and ibs, my ibs is aggravated every time af comes to the point as to where I have to take a day or two off of work each time so they are going to do a lap on me and laser some of it off, I have back pain all month long but it is tolerable mostly by using motrin but during af I just lay in bed with an electric blanket for the first couple of days. I have been putting off the laser but I think its time to cave. My job doesnt care for it too much that I end up missing a couple of days a month

Thanks ladies so much for the comments on my loss, You are all doing great also

I have noticed with my hypothyroidism my hair isnt thinning anymore also.

When I get a little further in my weight loss, I'll post some before and after pics

April

You should DEFINITELY check out the Schwartzbean Principle. It gives loads of information on the health implications of LCing. She mentions things like IBS and thyroid problems. It's well worth a read and would help you a lot I think.

Hi April,
I can relate to your frustration on many levels. I too have suffered with IBS, I discovered a couple of years ago that taking digestive enzymes helps me greatly, the ones that work for me best I get at GNC called Multi enzymes. You may not be difficient in the same areas so other pills might work for you, for example my aunt is fine with papya enzymes (they do nothing for me).
Then last July I started with The SP, and that has made all the difference. I now generally only take 2 enzymes in the morning, that is a drop from anywhere from 6 to 9 a day.
You may find that do be a great help.
Tanya
