I am new to the site so this may have been covered before but...
My partner was making pork chops for dinner which she usually likes breaded. She reached into the cupboard and pulled out the unlabeled bag of dried minced TVP I had bought at the bulk food store. She thought it was low carb bread crumbs (I toast crusts for pork chops and things).
She says she just crushed up the TVP a little more and used it! I didn't know until we were sitting down eating. It was good!
My question was what to do with TVP and can you use it without rehydrating? I guess I have my answer!
Can I pass the TVP chunks as salad croutons? Will not adding water kill us? Any comments?
