This may seem silly to some but its amazed me.....

Last week in the heat wave, my building shut down the elevators. That meant that I had to climb 14 flights to get home....and I was really pissed off!!

I climbed those stairs with an ease that totally shocked me!! 3 yrs ago in the big power failure, I could barely make it up those stairs for fear of having a heart attack and I had to pull myself up on the bannister and stop at each landing to get my breath. This time while I was breathing a little hard, I was no where near being winded.

So last night and tonight, I took Daisy, my cattle dog, and went and did a walk/jog and feel fabulous!! She and I will keep doing this until I can do the enitre 1 mile without walking at all. It should take me about 3 weeks to get this to happen......

Judy, I know exactly what you mean! I used to hate the idea of exercise and now I just enjoy moving. Whether it's doing some yoga stretches, running outdoors, or jogging on the stair machine. Just the freedom to move easily, to breathe without struggle and to have that energy makes me feel wonderful and appreciate this "new" body!

Hmmmm....tennis would require coordination and I just don't have some! But it looks like fun and a great workout.

Me, again. Getting dressed to take my mom out for her birthday dinner and I've got something new that this body is good for: Looking right good in snug-fitting jeans, a sleeveless black top and bright red sandals.

When I decided 2 years ago yesterday (that was my Atkins-versary) that I wanted to be fab by 40, THIS is what I had in mind!
