Default Dare I say the word CHRISTMAS ;-)

Hello everyone

I've had some great advise on this site. I am a vegetarian and now also trying to follow a gluten free diet as I'm on an elimination diet. There is a suspicion that I might be a coeliac, my brother is and I show all the symptoms, but none of the bloods say yes.

Last Christmas I bought a nut loaf from Marks & Spencers (UK) it came with a creamy sauce, seems our major stores only sell nut loaf at Christmas. I'm a bit lost there is soooooooooooo much information on here, I cant think where to find a recipe that might suit me for a good nut roast or loaf, not just for Christmas but for other times too.

Thanks so much x

I wish I could help, but I've only seen those pre-made. Here in the U.S they sell "field roast" and "tofurky" brands year-round at health food stores.

Haven't heard of it either (I'm American too), but here are some of my holiday favorites!

1. roasted brussel sprouts
2. portabellos stuffed with mashed acorn squash- I use this recipe http://www.~~~~~~~~~~~.com/week/wee...s.php?isid=1406 and everyone raves!
3. NSA cranberry sauce (I often add a mix of frozen blue/raspberry/strawberry/blackberry to the mix
4. NSA hot cocoa with peppermint extract or a cinnamon stick
5. I make pumpkin eggnog
