Default I'm a Semi-Veg, mostly veg than semi, daughter now is allergic to dairy, eggs, shrimp

Wow, I'm settling into my new life, enjoying the weight loss, the energy boost, and even juicing for better health. Now, I have to think about my 11 yr old daughter's health. I've been making her mostly vegetarian meals but she does eat some meat and I won't stop her from that. But now she is allergic to eggs, dairy, shrimp etc. I can eat dairy/eggs, and I am allergic to shrimp because of my gout, but can eat fish and chicken, which I rarely do. Out of a week, I am eating 98% vegetarian. I do eat whole wheat and other grains, like brown rice and wild rice. I have even ordered veggie burgers at burger king and veggie subs at Subway!!! Now we are having to switch to soy cheese etc. which is fine but its expensive, and now I have to rethink our whole lives again. My poor mother is gonna have a hard time eating around us at holidays etc. I've got to find alternatives for my daughter. She absolutely loves pizza, and loves ice cream...I know about rice dream but I don't know about anything else. Anyone have any tips?

Make your own 'ice cream'. Add 1-2 cups frozen fruit (I like mangoes or peaches) and a half cup of soy or almond milk and blend together in a food processor.

Your daughter can get calcium from leafy greens, and more safely than from milk (allergy or no). You can make cooked greens more palatable by making a flavourful dressing for them. One of my favourites to have with steamed cabbage is made by processing together an apple, an orange and some ginger, heating it gently for a while then processing it again. I know it is carby, but it is sweet enough to call dessert.

You can design your own dressing by processing together a seed or nut butter plus soy milk in a 1:2 ratio, then adding other things to the mix, like herbs, spices, vinegar or lemon juice.

If she can't have eggs, that is one less place for her to get omega 3's. So you will need to be sure she has other sources, like ground flax seed, oily fish or fish oil.
