Default Ground Flax Seed

I've heard a few people saying that they love ground flax seed because it keeps you regular.
Have you any suggestions for using it. All i've done so far is add a teaspoon to scrambled egg = sort of french toast taste as if it is made with wholemeal bread. I have also tried it with hot water as a cereal but I didn't really like it. Someone suggested putting splenda in and topping with cream. Still a bit strange to eat.
Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I use it is smoothies, I keep a mix of half psyllium, half flaxseed meal in the freezer and add it to smoothies made with protein powder, berries and a bit of yoghurt.

try this: slice and core and apple. Mix 1 Tbsp of flax seed with a dash of stevia and cinnamon. Coat the apple slices with the flaxseed mixture.
ENJOY! :P

PS. If you are following a plan that does not permit fruit in early phases, try flaxseed on your salads or with your scrambled eggs. Make sure you are using toasted flaxseeds, though, if you plan on having more than 3-4 Tbsps per day.

Thanks for that apple tip. I have been having it with hot water, cinnamon and splenda, with a tbsp on cream on top and it is lovely. I have often thought adding apple would be nice. I'm looking for some apple sauce which is sugar free now!
