well you probably see better weather up there  I have lived here now for almost 4 years I am from B.C. and the weather can get a little deppresing at times. For example we just got rid of all our snow and it was looking good i went and priced out a fence and was all gun ho to get started I woke the next day and it was all back

Another Edmontonian here - and I agree that The Low Carb Gallery rocks!! I need to hit it this weekend and get more SF syrups - they have just a huge selection.
And about our weather - I agree - the last couple of weeks hasn't been the greatest, but we're into Spring now and it's gorgeous outside!!! That'll teach you to put that snow shovel away too early, atmasters

Yes you think I would learn Hey sorry for the snow

I just wentt there for the first time Yesterday and the owner and the other lady that works there are so nice. I love the ice cream they have Did you try there cheese cake Sue it is the best I had to buy it. They do have a very good selection I live in the west end so it is a little bit of a drive for me but I can live with that. I do hope this weather stays the same I will keep the snow shovel out till next Dec for us

Oh, Brian, not sure I'd even want to taste their cheesecake - I might not be able to stop!! Cheesecake is my absolute fav! I've made some of the cheesecake recipes from this forum and have to freeze most of it or I'd eat it all in 48 hours!!!
And I think you can put your snow shovel away - I saw robins AND ladybugs on my walks this weekend - so I'd say Spring is here in Edmonton!!!

Aww man on my next trip south I am checking out this store, definitely.

Anyone go to the BBQ house? I can't remember the address (I know it's silly to mention, but i'm taking a shot here) but it is just in a chunk of stores, with a red and yellow awning. They sell the absolute BEST BBQ Pork ever! My father used to take us there as kids and we'd buy a bunch then sit in the truck and FEAST! They also had soy duck ....mmmm! next time I go to Edmonton I'm going to find my way there somehow and load up! Maybe freeze a bunch then send it through cargo!

Misskimbee, is that the name of the restaurant - BBQ House? If you have the exact name and an approximate area of Edmonton, I'd be happy to look up the address for you - maybe even a taste test - just to make sure it's still good, ya know!

hehe yes, I'm pretty sure it's called the BBQ house, arrrhg I was a kid living in Edmonton until I was 9, so it's hard to remember!

I googled and came up with this?

Korean BBQ House
6111 28 Ave
Edmonton , AB
Phone: 780-461-5509
Neighborhood: South East
Cuisine: Korean

maybe it's the right one!! sooooo worth it!

Well I'm not sure (Korean is sooo tasty and spicy!) but they sure have lots of different kinds of meats!

Please, let me know how it goes and if you found the right one! It's not a separate building, it's between a series of stores on a strip mall type thing> at least this is my memory from years ago!
