Default looking for a buddy!!!

Id love to find someone to share my journey with!!
Someone who understands what Im going through and doesnt think Im crazy like my husband does!! He says "look at how many carbs I eat a day," Anyway thats a Diffrent topic!!!


Im new to the website but lc since Oct 6th. Ive lost 23 lbs now but the weight loss is starting to slow a bit now, I was worried about that intill I found this site!!

Dear kctrin,

I'm a newbie also and would love to buddy up! BTW, congratulations on losing those first 23 lbs! Your loss might be slowing down because it was pretty rapid at first; the body naturally tends to want to stabilize itself after something like that, though you might be stalling for other reasons. What phase of the Atkins diet are you currently in and about how many grams of carbs are you getting each day?

And about your husband thinking you're crazy, men are always like that! Go figure. Perhaps their higher metabolisms go to their heads sometimes. When my friend began the diet (she's since lost about 40lbs) her husband was incredibly unsupportive, would even taunt her at times, doing things like eating candy bars in front of her and asking her if she wanted to sniff the wrapper. At any rate, let him have his carbs; you'll be much healthier in the long run!

Default Hi thanks for writing!!

Im trying to stick with the induction phase for as long as possible just because I have so much to lose. However i must admit that once a week I am also trying to incorprate one yummy carb < but not over doing it.

Honestly im luck if i hit 20 carbs a day my average is around 15. I have lost a pound in 4 days now. I guess Im goign to go back to writing everything I put in my mouth, ,maybe i have hidden carbs in somehting? I have been eating a salad a day just lettuce and cheese and oil & vingear (sp) that could be it too I didnt do that the first 3 weeks. I started because I was scared I wasnt getting enough carbs. Im not giving up. even I dont lose another pound I still feel better then I have in about 6 years!!!

Where are you located? Im inKnoxville Tn.

Thanks again for writing! I started a journal if you wan tto keep up with me!! Im going to llok for your journal now.
