Question Any tips on the best plan for Hypos?

Hello everyone

I'd like to be well armed with knowledge before I begin my journey! I would love your thoughts on this matter. LC dieting has expanded greatly from the just the Atkins plan. Which is what I tried before.

Hi,

I'm just now learning about hypothyroidism, so I'm not an expert. I do know a lot about dieting, though. The best plan is the one you can stick to.

The plans offer varying degrees of leniency and restriction. Atkins doesn't restrict fat or the total amount of food you eat, but it's one of the strictest on carbs. Others limit total food or fat, but allow more carbohydrate. Consider what works for you when you're in a hurry, when you're eating out, etc.

A difference of ten or twenty grams of carbohydrate do not matter nearly as much as simply staying on the plan. All LC plans strive to control insulin, which is the real issue.

See this post and check the poll results: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=49922

HTH!
