Default the most expensive diet in the world

(I'm exagerating) but it feels like I've chosen the most expensive diet in the world.
I like this diet because my cooking doesn't have to go past the microwave or 5 minutes at the frying pan, but I'm spending way more at the grocery store because bars, shakes and fake "meats" are just so pricey.
It's unfair

The fake meats are expensive, and so is cheese. Cheese does go on sale, but I sure that steak and other good cuts of meat are expensive too.

If you are buying the shakes and bars, look for a discount nutrition store. I don't know where you live, but I can let you know of some in Canada. Search on the net for nutrition depots or only buy the bars when they are on sale. It is a pain, but looking for sales will save you money over the long run!

You really should not eat too many bars, try to eat whole foods. Yes, its expensive, but then so is good quality meat.

As far as shakes - here's what I do: combine in a blender 1/2 cup berries, 1/3 cup kefir (or lc yogurt), scoop whey protein powder, lot of ice, sweetner as needed and blend. Delicious shake, healthy & not too expensive.
