Tried the Rolos today - way overpriced at £1.09 a tube in Superdrug but a real treat.

Even nicer though was the Carbolite Crispy Caramel bar I had a few days ago.... very nice indeed!!!

I've got to like these low carb treats and need to be careful I don;t get too addicted. I never actually used to eat any chocolate at all before going low carb but it really hits the spot now as a break from the usual routine.

Must admit that my favourite low carb bar of all time is the Carbolite Chocolate Coconut Bar. It's a Bounty clone and I LOVE Bountys

Found the kit kats today - nothing much to write home about so I won't be wasting 69p on one again.

The Rolos are alright but again, too expensive and not worth the fuss. Meh. Still, at least now I know! I think I'll stick to Thorntons, the chocolate is of a much better quality.

Hey Lisa, where did you find the low-carb Kit-Kats at 69p? I was sure they were £1-09 in Superdrug, though they'd actually sold out when I went to get some. The Rolos were £1-09 as well.

It was in Superdrug. Maybe they were on a special or something.

I was disappointed with the Kit Kat I admit. Boots do a lovely wafer bar in their diabetic range which is much nicer. The Rolos are good for a sweet attack emergency though. Handy to have in the cupboard if you want just a small piece of very sweet chocolate.

Whilst I was out today, I found those low carb Kitkats in Superdrug.

Purely in the interests of research, you understand , I bought a couple, and also one of the packs of Rolos. They were expensive - I think the Kitkat was 69p and the Rolo was £1.39 - and the cashier even warned me to make sure I knew before I paid! Apart from the fact that the Kitkat was very small, it tasted quite good. Very much like an ordinary Kitkat, with the familiar Kitkat taste and smell, but perhaps slightly saltier

Anyway, IMO, a very good substitute and definitely very nice for the occasional snack.

I got the kitkat for 69p and the Rolos for 1.29 in my local Superdrug last week. But I won't be buying either again I found the kitkat tasted of nothing, and the rolos left an after-taste of artificial sweetener.

So that's me back on the "real food"

That's what I thought on the kit kat, just...nothing. The Rolos are okay for me to keep in the cupboard for that 'sweet fix' every so often.

On the way back from our holiday in York, my wife Rachel came back from W.H.Smith with a a victorious grin on her face, stating that she had brought me some sweets and promptly handed me a packet of Rollos,
i originally tried to hand them back with my usual expletive deletive as she likes at times to tease me with her sweets.

to my delight they where the lo-carb variety. but she had already pinched the LAST ONE, as she called it to test that they where safe.

i was quite suprised that unless my tastebuds decieve me, i could not tell the difference, thankfully she waited until we got home and i had eaten the rest of the packet before she told me the price,
hopefully Nestle do have the power to lower the price,..

p.s. i was hoping that i was going to be the first to mention the rollos but whatever.. good news no weight gain on holiday..

Personally I hope both lines are a huge success for Nestle and they decide to introduce LC yogurt and milk too! I've written to them about this already!
