I've been horrified to see the prices charged for these bars eg in Benjys or in H & B, and even more horrified to see the list of ingredients

For the occasional sweet treats I'm sticking firmly to berries, cream, splenda, and anything I make myself following some of the delicious recipes on the site. At least that way I know I'm not stuffing myself with E-numbers and other stuff which sounds more suitable to a chemistry lesson than a meal

Just had a few LC rolos and could not spot the difference between these and real ones.

Yep, I have to agree, they do taste exactly like real rolos to me :-)

In a way, I'm glad they're at the price they are. It will hopefully stop me from buying and eating them too often.

What shops are they in? I'm dying to try them. The only chance we'll get them over here in the near future is if they're in boots or tesco

We tried these a couple days ago. Superdrug sells the Rolos for £1.29 a pack and the KitKats for £.69.

I thought the Kit Kats were okay, but not worth the price. I don't plan to buy them again. The filling in the Rolos is really runny/slimy and I didn't like it at all. (I've forgotten whether normal Rolos are like that.)

My husband's a big chocaholic and quite often cheats with chocolate, so he was looking forward to the low carb stuff. Unfortunately, it seems he is sensitive to malitol. Half a pack of Rolos and half a KitKat were enough to bring on a severe gut reaction.

You may not have them in Shepherds Bush but we have them in Sunderland. Obviously you live in the wrong half of the country (ha ha).

So - just bought (and eaten) my first low carb kit-kat and rolos. I don't think they taste quite the same as the full sugar ones. They're a bit less sweet (thank goodness!). The toffee in the rolos could be better. It's not a s good as Thornton's s/f toffee but it's edible.

No gut reaction - even eating both products.

Good on Nestle, that's what I say. I wonder what other low carb goodies they might bring out. Yoghurt would be nice...so would real low carb milk.

edit: Just found out they make After Eight...now that would be nice!

Later edit: I've just been to their UK website - no mention of these low carb products - weird.

In Superdrug in Bridges. They also have some type of crisps by carbolite.

You can get low carb chocolate and other goodies like gummy bears, liquorice, cola bottles etc from the sweet stall in the market too!

Sunderland - centre of the low carb universe!

I promise you. Been there, seen 'em, bought 'em, ate 'em...today. They're right by all the carbolite stuff.

Even saved my last first low carb rolo for my partner - now isn't that soppy!
