Default why is the cad board so inactive?

Was just wondering why the cad/calp board is so inactive? I have been on atkins and that board is so active. I am sure it is because there are more people on atkins but I sure hope this board gets busier. I feel like I need to go to the atkins board to get support but that program is not tha same.

I also feel jugdged at times from other programs...I am not sure why that happens. We are all trying to achieve weight loss and healtier lifesyles.

Oh well, jsut had to ask.

I actually think things here are really active--just not on the board--many people respond in the journal section rather than on the board per se--lots of support to be had--you'll see--and nothing judgmental AT ALL about it!

Yes, I agree. A lot of people go into each other journals. Just click onto anyones journal and go from there. I do try to come and check this board whenever I can.

Maybe because my big mouth was away from the net for a while while on vacation?

I also think the journals are more active than the board. Mostly because with CAD, once you have it, you have it...tweeks are allowed...the program is best tailored to your own particular body chemistry, and everyone is different. So once you get over the problems of starting and are into the groove, the program is relatively simple. No counting...no obsessing...well not about food anyway.

The actions' all in the journals. You're welcome to join us. Just pop in anytime.

I have also wondered about this. I have been on CALP since 7/03, and am already at my goal after losing 30 lbs. I am not interested in the Atkins board, as I am not measuring and am not using all of those LC products. I like CALP! Glad to see this activity now.

I think alot of it is the CAD people come in a little better prepared. Atkins has become such a buzz word that many people new to LC with no idea what it's about head strait there. It seems the CAD people are more people who are moving plans, or have spme idea of what LC is.

I havn't seen any "Can I eat candy during CM" and so on questions

LadyBelle-- there are a few of those...

CAD isn't as "in" right now as Atkins. It's not as advertised, and isn't pushed from twenty directions.

OTOH, I know a lot of forum members following CAD who don't post here..<shrug>

I got started on Cad several years ago because of the Oprah show. it worked great for me then...but for some reason I got off plan and went ot atkins. Guess I figured I would get faster results.

Hi all,
I'm still going strong on CAD.

I'm so glad a switched. I started on Jan 1

I not only lost the extra pounds(5) I gained at Christmas but three more to boot. I'm not wanting to eat all the time now. I know it seems like I lost a lot but I think a lot was water gain. I'm averaging a 1/2 pound every couple days now. Is that still to much?

I got my RM under control . That was hard. I wanted to eat everything. Now I make a list of things I want and as I have them I cross them off the list.

My DD is even interested now , she is tall 5'8" but she weighs 275. I'm going to do all I can to keep her interested. CAD will be so much easier then Atkins for her to follow. Tina
