Default How important is it to eat 3cups veggies?

I typically eat 3 C. of veggies or more...Is it really that important to get 3 cups every day? I eat fruits now too so Im getting vitamins and such, along with my multivitamin.

Hi El,

It's not just vitamins, it's fibre, and all sorts of other useful nutrients.

I'm worried that you are asking about three cups though. As you are now nowhere near Induction, you should be having much more than 3 cups.

How about figuring out ways to enjoy them more? Have a look in our Salads, Vegies and Side Dishes subforum for some good ideas.

More than 3 cups?! Shoot! Some days Ill have 3 c. broccoli and then serving of romaine...Dang. I thought I was doing so well with my veggies too! There arent many that I like! I mean, even the high carb ones I dont like! Other than radishes, spaghetti squash, cucumbers, salad, broccoli..Thats bout it! I guess I will have to learn eh? Thanks for the help
