I gained weight on it.

yep, so did I. I also gained weight eating just fruit and vegetables....no dressings because I hate lf dressings. Actually, no added fat....just plain, raw fruits and mostly raw veggies.

All I know is that I starved myself for years and still either gained or mantained, and LC is the only thing that works for me at all.

This just in! Apparently recent studies have shown that fat cells are extremely active in regulating many body functions, not unlike other glands of the endocrine system. Where did I read that?? I'll try to track down the source.

That's fat stored in the body - it is an integral part of the endocrine system....yes, I've seen it.

I was, however, talking about dietary fat - it is considered neutral when eaten since it doesn't stimulate digestive hormones when consumed like protein, carbohydrate and alcohol do.

Yes, that seems right - when I was reading about replacement hormones I learned that fat cells produce some female hormones, especially estradone (a type or part of estrogen).
