I hope she will come by. I really have to get back on program and thought maybe the new book would give me the boast (read kick in the butt) I need.

I've read the book. It's basically a plan for going back to CAD/CALP by breaking the week into small steps, like eating a LC protein every meal for the first step, eating a LC vegetable at each meal as a second step. After that, they introduce the idea of balancing LC veggies, carbs, and LC proteins, eating the carbs last in the meal, making all snacks LC, etc, making one meal LC, then two meals LC, until one is on the CAD/CALP plan.

Hi Ilse, it's nice to see you here. Do you still post over at lowcarbeating?

So basically this book gets you on program without those dreaded "first three days" symptoms?

Maybe I will have to check it out.

Jalera,

I am not doing much posting on the other forum right now. I did post some on dotti's weight loss zone, but not at this time. I am swimming every morning around 5:15 am, so that cuts into my computer time, which I nornally do before work in the morning.

I started reading a book called "The Rosedale Diet", which says too much protein will be metabolized as sugar into the system. I just started the book, but am curious about the rest of it.

I have been giving into temptation this week. I did discover when I ate higher fat meals (like eggs cooked with olive oil instead of Pam), I was much less hungry!

I am currently reading the book now (I have been an atkins follower but curious about the other LC plans out there) and I found it to be very helpful for those of us needing to go back into a program without jumpin in "cold turkey" - I recommend it to anyone who is having trouble getting back on plan! It is a series of steps that you make on your way back to plan, slowly cutting down/re arranging your carb intake until VOILA! You are back where you need to be and ready to get back on track!
