Default New book The Atkins Advantage discusses Vegetarianism and gives options for the Plan!

I started reading the new book The Atkins Advantage by Dr. Stuart Trager and Colette Heimowitz and was very pleased to see that they address Vegeatarian Atkins and give options on how to do Atkins as a vegetarian. Trager apparently worked with Dr. Atkins from about the year 2000.

I have not finshed the book, but will try to post more about it when I do. it is exciting to me to see it being addressed finally! I lost all my weight on Atkins by basically converting the ideas to vegetarianism myself.

Anyhow, I thought it might help anyone popping into this forum looking for info.

(I also highly recommend Rose Elliott's book on lowcarb vegetarianism. The beginnng of the first book addresses how to follow a smiliar plan tailored to vegetarianism)

Default Atkins plan for Vegetarians

Thank you so much! My sister says she has many friends who have tried to lose weight and the only people who have successfully kept it off are low carb people and/or Atkins people. Halfmoon
