Default Just an observation and a question.

I was having a lot of hunger, so I increased my fat intake, and WHAM, no more hunger, and my energy is high again, and my weight is dropping again. I have lost 80 pounds since Feb. and everything just seem to stall out lately. So my question is this. How many of you have had to adjust your diet to get your weight loss back on track, and how do you adjust your diet. For instance, this time adding more fat helped me a LOT!

For me, calories did matter as I got closer to my goal. I had to adjust them if I wanted to lose. I can eat pretty high calories and maintain perfectly if my carbs are in check, but I can't lose (even with very very few carbs) if my cals are too high.

I would have to guess at least 95% of us had to adjust somewhere down the line...whether it was adjusting calories, carbs, fat, or eliminating/eating sparingly things that I consider condiment-type foods such as dairy, nuts, cheeses, fruit etc.

For me it wasn't so much calories and carbs, but the source--too much dairy, berries, yougurt, cheese, nuts etc. I keep it basic and simple (which does not mean boring).
Not alot of complex recipes that contain alot of cheese/dairy etc--usually a protien, veg, small amount of berries, small amount of dairy etc. Limited alcohol.

HTH

Progress not perfection.

wow amber... you did Atkins correctly! ^5 to you!
fat is the elixir/tonic that heals the body and makes us thin, in spite of what the media says.

you chose to eat full fat food which is so much healthier and more PC than low fat and fat free foods.
just keep doing what you're doing. make it a lifestyle habit and your body will drop to where it needs to be.
you don't know, i don't know, and the moon doesn't know where that magic number is..
just keep on doing it right which you are...... maybe you can teach some of the others your tricks!
your body will stabilze where it needs to be.
don't add anything else to the formula...
and soon enough, you will be writing a wonderful Carnivore Success story so that others will follow in your footsteps.
you are doing it all exactly as Atkins wrote about!

you are fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!
just keep doing what you're doing and keep preaching FULL FAT logic!

I experimented something similar. It seems for me that calories do not matter, but the carb, protein, fat ratio.
You are doing great!
