Talking Getting started and thanks!

Ok, today is the first real day back on track. And I'm doing good with the sweet stuff because 1. I don't have any in the house and 2. My H took my car and I'm "snowed" in. So that's all good!

I wanted to thank all of you big losers for posting all of the great info on getting started, keeping it going, etc. This kind of real information from those of you who have "been there-done that" is priceless.

Also, a quick question. I have two toddler boys (a 2yo & a 3yo). My basic plan for them is pretty much the same as me with two big additions as I don't want there diet to be low-carb: Fruit and Milk. I'm trying to get rid of all the sugary, processed foods and move towards a whole food diet for them. Does that sound good?

Hi cori!!

I'm not a nutritionist but it sure sounds to me like that would be a very healthy WOE for the kids!!

They don't need the sugar and all the problems it can cause!!
As long as they're getting milk, fruit, and probably grains (no?), I don't see how this wouldn't be great for them!!

Snowed in.... with no car !!! Sounds like the perfect scenerio for starting a diet!!

Good luck to you, honey!! Hopr to see a lot more of you around the forum!!

BTW.... Love the pic!! What a little cutie!!
Ellie

Hi Cori, I have just finished my 2 week induction, yet again! I'm feeling really motivated this time. I think it's because of all these good people here.

I think eating whole foods is very good for kids. I agree with EllieEats though, I think they need some whole grains also.

Well, good luck with your induction. Remember to post. it really does help

Default Ooh Thanks Tamarian

I didn't see that part about parenting.

The pic is of me and my little stinker, Justin (he's the baby).

Grains is probably a good idea. Believe it or not, they seem to like the whole grain good for cereals the best. Plus peanut butter is always tastiest on the "brown" bread.
