Default Is it possible?

Well...I think I have done the induction phase about 3 times now. I am starting to think that maybe I just cannot do this. Is it possible to eat like this for the rest of my life? And if so, What can I do to stick with it? This past weekend I ate 4 pieces of pizza and drank some miller light. I packed on 3 pounds. I am so very discouraged. Could it be possible that this is not the diet for me?

Dear SLynnTx,

I have also jumped off of the wagon. I know our metabolism gets all out of whack when we yoyo. Please don't get discouraged. This is my second go round and it is finally working for me. This time I am sticking to it and using this web site to stay grounded and inspired. Hang in there.

Default One more question

Each time a person cheats does it affect how well you will loose once you go back to induction?

Just keep sticking with it!

Here are two links, taken from Dr. A's new book:

The Wrong Way to do Atkins

Uses and Abuses of Induction

Just as you make a choice to eat four pieces of pizza and Miller light, you can also make the choice to eat something low-carb. You could have eaten the toppings and had water, or a diet drink.

Think of yourself as a low-carber for life. Get up close and intimate with the idea, and the practice. Start a journal. Celebrate every day you have been true to your WOE.

I've been up, down, sideways and all over the place with this WOE, and it's now firmly a WOL. Even when I digress, LC is the safety net I come back to. Even in my deepest, most desperate binge, I knew I was still LC.

I never want to permanently enter the dark side of carb eating again. Do you?

Fight the courageous fight! Why sink if you know how to swim?

Karen
