Yeah, I remember Ray from the old alt.support.diet.paleolithic usenet group back in the late 90s, before most people had even heard of the word "paleo". I even participated in the campaign to help him get recognition for his original self-published "Neanderthin" so that a big publishing house would pick it up. I think I have both copies of his book around the house somewhere. I should dredge them out and read them again one of these days.

Sorry to hear that Ray is poor these days though. Back then in the late 90s he had high hopes that his book would become a best-seller a la Atkins and not only introduce people to a paleo lifestyle but provide him with some income as well!

I just wanna give this a bump in case anyone missed it. Somehow, after all this time, I've had very little exposure to Ray Audette. Pretty cool guy.
