You should have tried the stretch today. I use it as my reward for not missing a workout. I absolutly love it. It stretches all the muscles that got sore and tight during the week. Love love love it!

I was going to do stretch, but the kids had the living room trashed. Plus I spent time with my wife.

I will get it in when it comes around again.

Week 2 - Disk 1!

Woke up this morning at five and really didn't want to get out of bed. But.... I got up and put disk 1 and pushed play.

Feeling awesome!

I still can't do a decline pushup... I think the stomach is just too heavy at this point.

But I was able to do military and the diamond pushups which I wasn't able to do more than 2 last time. Today was able to get 6 total before failure.

Wow... this is working

AB ripper - the first time I did it I could barely do anything. This time I was able to do some of everything except the one where you had to v up with the. My stomach bulge is still causing issues there.

BUT IT WILL GET BETTER!

DLA, tell me about some of the issues you had with P90X when you began.

Thanks

John

Sheila,

I was a bit bummed this morning, I don't see how I will ever lose this stomach.... there is just so much fat there right now.

Not so much as a failure attitude, but more of a resigned attitude when you see a huge hill that you have to climb. You know you will do it, you just wish it wasn't so high.

anyhow... awesome on the doubles. Kick butt lady!

John, just take it a day at a time. Eat right and exercise, that is all anyone can do! I was that way 30 days into my first round. I wasn't seeing changes. I was fustrated beyond belief. I just kept telling myself to trust the process. You know lowcarb works, right? And too many success stories out there for P90X you know it works. Just keep pushing play.
Now that said, you might need to increase your calories a bit and remember that muscle weighs more then fat.
Hang in there!

I was called out on this same thing Sheila...

A pound of fat weighs as much as a pound of muscle.

A pound of muscle is smaller than a pound of fat

I am not feeling really frustrated, just looking at the road and longing that it was a wee bit shorter. Thats all. Like I said before, its like climbing a high hill you will get to the top you just wish it were a bit shorter.

Anyhow... Pushed play this morning.

You know just how short sighted I can be... well I am, I let my brain brain go all crazy thinking that nothing is happening....

Well 2 pounds down this morning. The exercise and the P90X is paying off.

Today was Plyometrics. I got through most of it i.e. I dropped it at Football hero.

My heart was in the zone.

Woke up this morning with a major migraine. I missed Church, was bitchy.

I took a shower, had a couple of Ibuprofen, had a cup of coffee. I was going to put off the workout till the headache was over.

Well, came downstairs, sat down and looked at my p90x disks, got up put mat on the floor, and put in Shoulders & Arms, Ab Ripper X.

After the work out my headache was major better. I still have a bit of it, but I am feeling good with the work out.

Hey John,

How are you buddy? Keep it up!! Remember, its a little everyday. I didnt do PX90, instead Ive been doing the Insanity. Its a pure cardio workout instead of weights. In the service and police academy its all about doing plyometrics and endurance. I can tell you that doing the Insanity is REALLY INSANE. OMG!

Dla,

I am fricking fantastic. It was wonderful to push through the pain and get the workout in. Tomorrow is Yoga X.

I want to get through this round of p90x and see where I am going to go.

I was looking at Insanity, as a program to go to afterward, or I may just do another round of 90X.

Sheila really inspires me. She is on round three or four and is doing doubles. I love that both of you are here.

John
