Default Is low carb Aioli a thing sold in stores/online?

Hi all. This may be a dumb question. Is Aioli a thing that a person can buy, or do you have to make it? And, if it can be purchased, does anyone have a specific aioli that they recommend? Thanks. I just tried some homemade aioli (made by someone else) and it was QUITE yummy.

Which kind of aioli did you have - mayonnaise or olive oil?

Either is pretty simple to make - just add garlic - but there are a lot of variations out there. I have one recipe that adds in goat cheese.

Hi. Almost every aioli recipe I googled up looks suitable for LC. If you're like me and not really into doing the whole homemade-mayo thing, you can make a quick version out of jarred mayo, a bit of garlic powder, and sweetener. I love this and make it regularly as a dipping sauce.

I'm not sure I've ever had real aioli. I might try adding some lemon juice and pepper next time.

Authentic aioli is more about the garlic and less about the fat source (oil vs. mayo). As others have noted, there are many, many versions out there .
The name literally means "garlic and oil".

Personally, I love the taste of roasted garlic, which you can buy in jars at the grocery store. To make a small batch of faux aioli, mix together ½ cup mayonnaise, 1 Tbsp roasted garlic purée, 1 tsp lemon juice and a few dots of hot sauce .. not so much to make it hot, but just enough to punch up the umami taste . No sweetener.

I love to put a whole pod of garlic in my toaster oven and in about 15 minutes it is cooked. When the garlic is cooked, it can be popped right out of the husk by squeezing one end of the clove, then mash all of the cooked garlic cloves while they're still hot. It makes a nice paste that can be used for many things.
But remember, garlic is about 1g carb for every clove.
