So here I am, another year of successful weight loss maintenance( 6 years now) under my now 29" waist.
I started doing Pilates twice a week this year and its really making a big difference in all my muscles, not only core muscles. I love it!

Hi Judy!
Congratulations! Your story is really encouraging and there are different things you mentioned that could become quotes =).

I just wanted to ask you, you said that you made the plan work for yourself and you also committed yourself to it.

Like you I've been thru several diets that had me in a yo-yo with my weight. I've been on South Beach Diet for 3 weeks and now on phase 2. I've only lost 7 to 8 pounds, the whole time though. I'm glad I'm losing some, but I think I could lose more. Did you ever experience times like this/. What would you recommend?

Hi, Welcome and Thank you!
You are actually doing quite well to have lost 7-8 lbs in the first 3 weeks. One can expect to lose 10% of their total loss in that time....you're at about 25%!
I made it work for me in that I did not add in all the whole grain stuff and advoid most flour....still now 7 yrs later!
You'll need to ask me specific questions so that I can answer you better. Feel free to do this in my journal, just click on my journal button.

Have you thought about starting a journal here? It truly is where all the action is on this site.

Wow, Judy, just wanted to congratulate you on the huge loss, the against-the-odds success of maintaining, and mainly on the hard work of understanding yourself & working through your inner stuff you've done.

Thank you for having the courage to share your story with us, it's been very inspiring to me.

It's even making me consider doing more with my journal...
