About 30. That is the equivalent of one non-large slice of bread per meal.

I don't really count, but I limit my meals to one carby food per meal - like a slice of whole wheat bread, 1/2 cup of whole grain pasta, a few new potatoes, etc. I don't necessarily have a starch with each meal, just if I want to!

I don't count the carbs, just low carb in general. Which comes down to no bread, potatoes, rice or pasta. Normally...

I have to agree with this.

I would call the way I eat to be low carb. I don't do sugar, rice, pasta, starchy veggies such as corn and peas or basically any grains. The closest thing that is a grain is wheat germ and it's a very small amount and I don't eat it often.

My carbs all come from fruit and veggies. On average I guess my carbs are between 50-90 and usually 30 grams of that is fiber.

I do however drink milk, eat yogurt and have fruit in the morning which many would think was a no-no. I eat 3 meals a day with nothing inbetween so I don't graze all day and my meals and portions are all weighed and measured so I know I'm eating the right amounts.

oh...and you can click on the link in red that says Fitday to see what I eat.

Ideally, 62. Realistically, 90. I don't like vegetables, but I do like fruit. This is anathema to many low-carbers, but I find a fruitless diet to be, well, worthy of making bad puns about.

LOL! A fruitless diet... sounds like a book title. ;D

To me carbs don't matter so much as calories with the important exception of, its really, really, really hard to keep the calories low if the carbs are high. So what I do is not fuss too much over carbs but try to find food I can eat that is low cal and keeps me full a long time. There are actually a few higher carb foods that I think actually help with satiety for me, like beans.

Hi all...thought I would add my 2 cents. Well I just recently started 6 Week Body Makeover...(again)...and I now realize why I like it better than extremely low carb. One...because I have more energy and can get up the stairs without thinking I am going to pass out...

Eating 5-6 meals a day is good for me... I don't count the carbs but for BF I have Fiber One Cereal...snack is (1/2 cup)fruit(cantaloupe, pineapple, grapefruit, or berries)and protein...lunch is protein, 1/2 cup carb, 1 cup veggies, snack is again fruit and protein, dinner is same as lunch, and another snack (usually walnuts and 1/4 apple)... Usually I have 2 ounces of protein at each meal... I have noticed, however, that after lunch I have been getting hungry...so I added an extra ounce of protein and I haven't had that problem since!

One thing I can say about eating like this...all these meals...is that I actually can feel my metabolism raising...and I have lost inches this week...since Thanksgiving. Sometimes I get bored and want something different and so I have tried a couple of recipes that have helped. Also for my last snack I sometimes have an ounce of cheese...

Downside...have to cook in advance...and I hate to cook!
