almond meal
I was using almond meal (aka almond flour) liberally the past few days, as crust for pizza, stirred in soups, etc. Very tasty. But I got a strong inflammatory reaction last night! I haven't altered anything else in regular diet, I'm sure almond meal was the culprit. Bad old foot pain and a few other things that haven't bothered me in a long time.
I did some research and apparently it's very high in Omega-6, which makes sense since the reaction seemed to be similar to when I would use seed oils. Also since it's so finely ground, it can seem deceptive, you might consume a lot of almonds in a 1/4 cup.
Anyway, off my list. Too bad because it's creative to work with, maybe in very small amounts it would be OK. Wondering if anyone has had better results with coconut flour?
