i want to get some coconut oil since i've heard such great things about it. trader joes has it but i am wondering if its a good kind- it says organic expelled pressed refined coconut oil... thoughts?

No icky. Check out the sticky in the suppliment section for tons of information on coconut oil.

Refined is gritty and has a nasty taste. Get Virgin unprocessed coconut oil. Good coconut oil is very smooth and creamy with no grit in the texture.

I really like the Wildreness Family Naturals brand. I order online. NOW brand which puts out health food also has a good one though in smaller containers.

Make sure to get virgin, and in a glass container. Plastic containers can absord nutrients over time and there is no telling how long it sat in a warehouse.
