Abbie,
Have no idea how I missed your wonderful success story last spring, but thank you! I am so inspired by it now and it is Perfect Timing.
Your story is the story seen on this forum so often, and they will increase with the beginning of Diet Season later this week. It is certainly mine too, even to the past four years becoming a nutrition research junkie, but never quite reaching the the very best weight needed.
You shared every one of your tips that helped a basic low carb plan meet your real goal. Thank you for taking the time last spring to write an inspiring success story that will give ideas and support to all returnees who are seeking a permanent solution to meet their health goals.

Abbie, like Janet, I happened upon your story at the right time. Thanks for the inspiration, and some tips I'll use, like intermittent fasting. IF doesn't have to be "extreme" but it can jumpstart otherwise conscientious eating.

I have to approach nutrition/eating as a hobby, too. More books. More posts. More stories! Thanks so much for sharing yours.

Best wishes for maintenance in 2015. I'll be with you soon.

Default Love It!

Thanks for posting your success and congrats to you for finally getting it after on and off for 15 years. So relate-able to me.
I have written down a few of your tips ie watching yt videos and learning more of why I'm eating this way. I ordered a few books in the fall and haven't even cracked them open.
Do you have any favorite YT channels that you watch more then others? I'm not normally a yt or podcast kind of gal but I want to try it, I think it's a great idea!
Again, Way to Go and thanks for sharing!
Lisa

Great thread. There is much I identify with in the OP's story. I'm now into my 12th year eating LC, and have never quite reached my goal of 135. I start the year in great position (140) and am determined that this is the year I Do It. Thanks for the inspiration!

Lisa, I hope that Abbé will share her list of favorites, but one channel on YT that has had fascinating LC related talks is TheIHMC, a long list over three years, Dr Davis, Volek, Champ, Fasano, etc. or search for a favorite author, e.g. Gary Taubes, he has a new talk on YT given at Cornell.
