It looks like I’m going to have to change this diet a little if I want to get to my goal weight. I was hoping to lose one pound but instead I gained one. I’m thinking that maybe the dessert part of my RM has been a little excessive for the losing weight. I’ve been eating chocolate ice cream with M&M on it every night for dessert. We went to the "all you can eat" ribs again last night and I had a pile of ribs and a great Snickers cheese cake that was amazingly rich.

Another thing I’m going to try is skipping lunch following Plan D. Sense I’m not hungry so it's really easy to do. I just eat a big breakfast with almost zero carbs and a nice dinner with the carbs in fruits and vegetables. I'm hoping that starts the weight loss again.

Still really positive about this LCing. It seems that Dr. & Dr. Heller didn’t really mean ANYTHING you want and AS MUCH as you want in one hour until you get to your target weight. =-(

No, Larry as unfortunate as it is, the Hellers step back from that all you can eat stance in their newer books. It's like this is what we said - "have two desserts if you like" but this is what we thought you'd interpret it as "eat a balanced reward meal" LOL.

As for skipping lunch they say (in CALP book) it's okay to skip any meal you aren't hungry for except the RM...and who wouldn't be hungry for that!!!

I was wondering if our former advice on NOT necessarily reading the CALP book might have been questionable... The biggest benefit that I got from that book was in the rm area. What I formerly THOUGHT was a good balanced rm, was actually very carb heavy. Changing my attitude about the carb "load" at rm has made a difference in my speed of loss. The size of the entire meal has changed for me, as well. To truly balance the rm is naturally probably going to make it smaller. At least for me--because there is only so much meat and lc veggies that I can "down" at one time. Don't know if this will help at all, but they really do go into great detail on the rm in the CALP book. It might be a beneficial read for you...

Tess & Jalera,

I'll go get it. Looks like I need to know the details on the RM. It's a darn shame though! I was really liking my RM under the old plan. Those M&M on that ice cream were really something to look forward to. I'll go back when I get to my target =-).

Thanks again. - Larry
