Talking Another Newbie Introduction

Hi all! I'm new to Low-Carbing and to this forum (I've posted in the Fibromyalgia forum). I've been LC'ing for the last week and am already feeling better in general. Although I'm doing this more for health than for weight loss, I am happy to find so much valuable information and moral support on these pages...This looks like a great, very supportive forum, and I'll definitely be around, so here's my hello!

Talking Can you help me?

I have a freind who is a vegetarian, and she is interested in LC'ing. What are your primary sources of protein? Tofu and eggs?? I am asking because I want to support her in her quest for LC. Can you post a sample day's menu? Thanks so much!

Welcome to the forum!

It is always nice to see people that realize that vegetarian and low carbing can both be done at the same time!

Fab Marta-

Here is a link to my fitday account. It is pretty boring for the most part, but you can give this to your friend:

Also, there is a great recipe site and several veggie based dishes are there:

Hi, I'm a newbie also!

I am a lacto ovo vegetarian and I follow the Insulin Resistance Diet. (for an excellent review of this eating plan go to the "Which low-carb plan is right for me?" Quick Link (on the right side of the computer screen).

I am so jazzed to have found a support forum of vegetarians that supports the lowcarb lifestyle. I feel so much better since I've cut out those bowls (and I do mean BOWLS) of pasta, rice and potatoes. There are a zillion substitutes if you just get creative...I know now I was eating far too many carbs and not enough good quality protein. WEll that has officially ended!

Hi everyone!
