No, I always thought it was a good weight for me. I added in a couple of pounds for being well endowed. So that would have made a good weight for me to be 132 and that is, or at least was, a good weight for me. Now, I think 142 would be good. i'm 5' 6 1/2 inches and 142 is by no means Twiggy weight. I'd be a size 8 bottom and size 10 top with that weight.

Actually, that was in the era when all kinds of prescription diet drugs were in vogue. They might have been smoking cigarettes, too, of course. Many Americans were back in those days [including me] before the gov't got heavily invested in anti-smoking ads & cigs were still cheap. Cigarettes were still connected in the public mind with Hollywood, attractiveness, & glamour. Didn't see the Marlboro Man on oxygen until much later, as I recall. mo

Anyone here still on zero carb? I've been on a meat fast for a little over a week, was tough the first day or two but so far I feel really good. Scale is moving too.

Never went zero carb, wound up doing IF and one meal a day instead. But so glad it is working for you, there's a great blog about a woman who embraces it:

I read her stuff several months ago, jumping from post to post to post.

She got me thinking, and researching and all that stuff that keeps me excited about my WOE.

Thank you, Kelly, and, never say never: I may follow your path at some point, too.

how is that going for you? I'm about 5 weeks in and down about 18 lbs. I feel pretty good, but miss the social aspect of food.

Over the past month I've had a few incidences of foods outside my plan - some celery sticks with chicken wings and then I was away on vacation last week and pretty much stuck as best I could to the meat/egg thing. My couple cheats consisted of two strawberries, some caesar salad, some broccoli spears, and some organic deli meat (I'm trying to avoid processed meats on this diet too). All this over a couple days with pretty much all meat and eggs. I'm definitely feeling the addition of the vegetables/fruit - cravings are back.

So it's been a few days and I've managed to get back on the meat/egg bandwagon. Hoping to continue on for the next few months at the least to see if my weight can down. So sick of being huge

I'm doing great!
I feel great and actually like how I look in photos now!
ZC works well for me, it's definitely not for everyone
And it's not a crash diet
It's more of a way to eat long term
I also enjoy fasting along with ZC
This combo has helped a lot with insulin resistance, PCOS and weight loss

I know I have insulin resistance too. I'm finding the plan pretty easy TBH - meat, eggs, water. I just added potassium this week and it's made a HUGE difference in my energy and pain levels.

I take a couple others as well: vit d, iron-free multi, magnesium, folic acid (TTC). I haven't gotten to the fasting part yet, still adapting, though I see that coming since I'm less hungry overall.

Im not always losing weight but I can see more and more contouring in the mirror. I like that

Magnesium and potassium will help you a lot during adaption
And once adapted, fasting is very easy!
Best of luck!

I was already supplementing with 300 MG of magnesium citrate at bed - it helps me go in the a.m. For now, I'm taking about 400 mg of potassium, spread over am and pm. The potassium addition is helping so much.
