Default Carb binging

I remember reading in a couple of posts that for carbohydrate addicts relatively no carbs like atkins can cause 3 week binging cycles I would be intrigued to hear more about it as that is exactly7 what happened to me on atkins.

I really do want to try to do cad properly but the AS at CM's are my big problem.

I would just like to say thanks to everyone and have a legal day

AS can be a big problem for anyone on CAD. That's because CAs can react to AS like it's sugar. You might want to wean yourself off gradually but you'll have to do it. Some CAs don't react, but most do.

CAs need carbs to function well and going without for too long can set up a binge cycle and cravings. That's why the Hellers say that even if you skip CMs you shouldn't skip RMs.

Same thing happened to me, too. I'd go on carb binges every 3 weeks - I'd think "ok, well maybe I can have a cheat day today." Unfortunately, those normally turned into a cheat weekend... And, because I thought that AS were ok on Atkins, I had a really hard time giving them up psychologically.

I'm in week 3 of CAD, and I'm having a hard time thinking of going back to Atkins at all (I was wondering if I was going to have to do that if CAD didn't work for me). But, fortunately, it seems as if CAD has finally kicked in for me and I don't have to worry about that!!

Every few days, I'll have a diet soda, but for the most part, it's very easy for me to stay away from the AS. It's definately easy to keep cravings in control if you can get it out of your system once a day.
