I've been on a cruse ship for the past 6 days. I made a point never to take an elevator. I climbed a lot of stairs. I also took advantage of their walking track and gym when I could squeeze it in. It was a nice trip with my family.

Hi Ken. Glad to see you back and that you were away doing something enjoyable. I wondered where you had gone to. Walking in a hilly town I average the equivalent of 21 flights of stairs a day just going up and down hills. It might not add to my step total but it does add to the value of the workout.

Jean - I seek out all the little hills in my neighborhood and do them twice on my walks. My app only gives me credit for 8 floors. It is definitely not your hilly Vermont around here. On our last 'sea day' on the 23rd I decided to walk up and down all 3 columns of stairs on the ship as my workout. My app counted 56 floors climbed and 68 descended. I'm not sure how that was possible as I did not use an elevator. Maybe speed is a factor. I was dragging on that last column of stairs. It was a good workout.

walk a ton, did 38 K this past Saturday, think I over did it and was zapped for a couple days. try to do at least 10K daily, but usually land between 15-20 K most days
