My husband went on the Atkins with me, after one week he is having problems with constipation. Any advise?

This is not uncommon, and should pass ... make sure to drink lots of water, eat high-fiber veggies and salads, and eat enough fat as well, that should keep the bowel moving along.

Thanks for the info, I printed out the article and gave it to my husband.

I do not know if you are in US or Canada
In the US you can buy psyillium (sp) caps - I take several a day and it keeps me regular

When I am in Canada and cannot obtain the pills ( hate to drink the stuff!!) I buy empty gelatin caps and fill them while watching the boob tube

They really help to keep me regular

sugar-free Metamucil - 1 tsp. = 3 carbs. Usually one dose will "cure" me.

I take Flax seed oil suppliments. It helps a lot. And it also provides your body with the essential amino acids. I notice if i forget to take mine for one day....i live by them to help me regular.
