Default Inspiring quote

This is the sort of quote that helps put some starch in my backbone.

Quote:
Never allow the circumstances of your life to become an excuse. People will allow you do to it. But I believe we have a personal obligation to make the most of the abilities we have.

This is from Jim Abbot, former pro baseball player who was born without a right hand yet still pitched a no-hitter. The quote was his answer when asked what advice he'd give to children with disabilities.

Since I don't follow sports I had never heard of him. But he must have been something to watch!

He had more of an advantage than Pete Gray, who lost his arm above the elbow and played during the war years.

But I agree, that is very inspiring. How many talented people do we know who have not developed or pushed those talents?

Sun Tzu says: Can you imagine what I would do if I could do all I can?
