Yes, all veggies have carbs, but they have fewer than oatmeal. Those of us who have adjusted to fat burning do not need carbs to fuel a workout. It's a process, though, it can take 6 weeks to become fully acclimated to burning stored body fat in lieu of carbs.
You might enjoy reading Phinney and Voleks' The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance. It is directed at the low carb athlete, but has lots of good info for more casual low carb eaters as well.
