Cool Newbie

Hi all..... new to the forum.... feel like I need a boost....

I must tell you.... Atkins was the best diet for me..... after having son I lost 20 lbs and kept it off for 3-4 years..... well... then I got a bit too confident when I started back on carbs.... before I knew it.... I was totally back to being addicted to them.

Well, after buying every book, video, etc.... I am back to the diet I know worked for me before and I am hoping works for me again.
People have told me that once you've done Atkins for awhile and go off..... if you try to go back on it's much more difficult..... any input on this?

My goal is to be back into my original clothes by my b-day would like to have more energy to run around with my kids.

Thanking you all for any support you can give.

Hi there Welcome aboard.

Good luck with your objectives, although try not to get fixed onto a date, as that may mean some disappointment. Be confident that once you chage your way of eating you will get there.

Good luck!

Thank you.... I'm trying not to hold so true to a certain date... but it sure would be a great present to myself and my family....

Thanx for your encouragement.

I know what you mean. Between you and me I'm holding out to a certain level before I go away on holiday in December

But - I'm in this for the long haul

I'm new to this board altogether but I still wanted to welcome you. When you are new it is kind of hard to make friends if people won't welcome you aboard. I hope you like it here and get the support you need.

welcome aboard imblondie! how much do you want to lose and when is your birthday? it could very well be doable!

it is slower losing the second time around, but still it's losing, not gaining, right!

so you've got about 4 weeks. lets say you lose between 1 and 2lb per week. well maybe just one because you don't have a lot to lose. sorry that isn't what you wanted to hear, is it? losing is better than gaining though!

At this point I definitely would be happy losing anything... it seems like in the last month I've put on 5-6 pounds alone..... aaagh..... so you are right.... I will be happy with those few pounds gone....

Well Blondie I think the way to break the ice is to just post often. The more people hear you opinions and see your name hopefully the more open they will be to communicating with you. At least that is the method I'm using.
