Thumbs up Hello everyone

Hi everyone. I shall introduce myself now. I've been on the Atkin's WOE since June. My husband dragged me into it a week after he started. I went in kicking and screaming. We tried it 2 years ago and couldn't get past day 1 - I was lightheaded and really sick. This time it was totally different. I spent the first 2 1/2 days on the phone to him at work because my cravings were horrible. I'm glad he dragged me into this because I feel better physically and emotionally since I know what I'm doing is good for me.

I work at home, running a licensed day care home. So I'm around food all day. It's the food we're not supposed to eat but the state requires us to feed the children because it's deemed "healthy." I have started giving my own children and the ones I care for a protein shake in the mornings since they are supposed to have milk, fruit and a grain for breakfast - no protein. That bothered me, so they get the shake with it.

My husband is my hero. He's been faithful to this WOE 90% of the time (me, maybe 70%). He's also working out more than I do. Between us we've lost 66 lbs. It's amazing to watch us get smaller. Just waiting for Christmas so we can ask for gift certificates to buy new clothes, in smaller sizes.

You all are great at supporting everyone else. I hope to be able to encourage people in the same way.

G/B (God Bless)

Thumbs up That is Wonderful

It is so great to hear of someone else's success. You are a very lucky woman to have someone to share this WOE with.

My fiance won't even come near this lifestyle change. So, making dinner is really tough.

I hope to hear more of how this plan is doing for you!

Keep up the awesome work!
