Question RM for breakfast?

Hi all! I have started and re-started CALP too many times for even me to remember! The most recent being about 2 weeks ago.

I know that most ppl probably have the RM at the end of the day (dinner). I have been struggling with giving up my muffin and french vanilla coffee in the mornings; AAMOF, I have been having it, and then no other carbs all day!

What I am wondering is this: could I just make breakfast (eaten at about 10am) my RM? If I had say: 2 HB eggs, 1/2 a large cuc, and my muffin? I guess I could even put this off till about 11-11:30 and call it brunch.

Would that still technically be "on plan"?

I'm not a CALP'er but the answer to your question is in the beginning of chapter 8 in under Planning Your Choices in CALP.

I don't feel comfortable with making suggestions because I have no experience with the plan, but I'm sure someone with CALP experience will be able to help you out.

In CAD and CALP you can make your RM any meal of the day you want. The problem with making it breakfast is that you then have to face temptations for the rest of the day. It is much easier to say no to unallowed foods when you know you're going to have your favorite foods for dinner.

On the other hand I have often had breakfast for dinner because that's what I want for my RM.

Whichever time of the day you select for your RM, you must keep it there, except for special occassions, as your body gets into a rhythm. If you move it sporadically, you throw your insulin levels off and can gain weight.
