I enjoy this way of eating so much even though I am not a strict zonie. I actually follow the Insulin Resistance diet, but the plans are so similar (insulin resistance diet is approx. 20 - 30% fat, 20 - 30% protein and 40 - 60% carbs), that I feel more comfortable on Zone forums than regular low carb ones.

I am so enthusiastic about this way of eating I did a search on amazon.com for Zone books, and came up with over 20 books in print! Not all are written by Barry Sears; there are some pretty good cookbooks out there by other followers.

A new one is coming out this month called the Zone Perfect Cookbook. It looks really good and I pre-ordered it. It's written by a follower of the plan, not Barry Sears.

Barry Sears himself will be coming out with three new books this year, the first one released in January 2004.
