Default frozen strawberries...

I remember ZC telling me that she purchases frozen strawberries. Well, they have become one of my staple carb blocks this summer and the strawberry season for the most part is over.

I purchased some organically grown frozen strawberries. When I followed the directions to defrost, they were mushy.

Do you ZC or anyone else have some tips for more solid defrosting?

Thanks for your help!

I am sorry to say that mushy is what happens when you defrost berries, but the flavor is still there! Since I use them for mixing with yogurt, mushy is okay for me. Sorry for not being more help.

I didn't even think to mix them w/ something?

I usually have them w/ cottage cheese but but always on the side.

Looks like I will have to try and mix them. Sounds good!

Thanks!

...and I never thought to have them "on the side" of anything (mushy). I mix them with my morning oatmeal and into protein shakes/smoothies
