I am very excited to have such a great start. It isn't my first attempt and the last time I stayed consistent I lost 40 pounds in 12 weeks. I started at my heaviest weight ever 11 days ago and have had great results so far. I know that most of this is water weight but I am still really encouraged.
I think the thing that I have gained is that I am absolutely sure this is the only thing that works for me. It took me 3 years to gain back all I had lost because I was eating Low Carb most of the time but even that wasn't enough. I have to stay right on it and in the end I know this is the only thing that works for me.
Its a relief to see the scale going in the right direction again and knowing that when I stick to it, I can get the weight off. I have also started having blood sugar issues and that is much more under control now that I am not eating starchy carbs. Really excited to see more results and every day I learn more and more the things that work to keep me going.
Thanks, Yes for me it is clearly all in . If I "cheat" I only sabotage myself. I still struggle because as a kid I could eat ANYTHING and never gain a thing. In fact I had to work to put weight on. I started highschool at 98 pounds.
Now all I have to do is look at food and the pounds pack on. SIGHHHHHHHHH But I stay very satisfied eating this way and protein helps me to stay full and not deprived. I am fortunate that I no longer have a sweet tooth like I did as a kid. I like savory flavors over sweet so that helps a lot .
Congratulations on returning to this way of eating, and your great start. I'm another who can gain weight eating what others consider low carb, if I don't watch both carbs and intake. All the best in meeting your goal.
Yes, those of us who could eat whatever we wanted kind of start out behind the game, I believe. For me, that's because I ate some really awful things and wrecked my glucose sensitivity.
