Hi, I am new to this forum, but I am looking for a buddy to keep me motivated and working out. I am 27 years old and I am from NJ. I work out all of the time but I can never seem to keep the weight off. I have 20 lbs to loose. I haven't been on atkins in years, but I am sure that I can a carbohydrate addict and that I need to cut complex carbs out in order to lose any significant weight. Tend to go on carb binges and gain back all of the weight I have lost......
Have you ever looked at the Carbohydrate Addicts Diet? You sound like a candidate, and I only say that because I used to do Atkins, and the carbo cravings were too much. With CAD, those cravings are rewarded daily, and I am LOOSING WEIGHT .
I will check out your journal, feel free to look at mine.
Hi Flitter,
Thanks for responding to my post. I actually did try the CAD diet a few years ago, maybe I should go and read the book again... I am very sensitive to carbs.. It is like I eat one thing and the flood gates open. I am going to try atkins for a while, but the only problem is the lack of energy.
Today is my third day of induction, wish me luck! I am going to need it!
So are you feeling better? Nausea was my problem on Atkins.
I am 26, and I don't "work out" often, but I stay fairly active. I like to do Yoga, but I spend most of my time with my seven month old.
My shameful little secret is that I am breastfeeding and dieting. I was told by my OBGYN to eat at least 1800 calories a day, so I like the Reward Meal because I am sure I get that much by the end of the day.
Feel free to read my journal, and I will be looking for yours.
