Hi, my name is maria, i'm 18 from canada, and i would like to have someone who can help me fight my battles of eating disorder...
I have been low carbing on and off for a long time....
but i always find a way to get my hands on the food that causes me to binge....
I always thought writing journals are a waste of time?? but from today, i will try to write down everything i eat.....
Anyone that has experienced Eating disorder, younger or older than me, would be great....
I guess i want to feel that i'm not the only one.. and that i can be ok?~?

Hi Maria. I'm Marie.

I'm 38 and had an eating disorder when I was 20 and nearly died.
Looking back I'm not sure what really started it - maybe a poor self image. I was never heavy 5'8" 138 pounds but got down to 108 and nearly died in a car. My body temp dropped from the weight loss and I had gone in my car to get warm - passed out and almost suffocated! After that ordeal and being put in a hospital I went into builma. Eating binges were a way of life. I'd eat so much I'd look pregnant and took laxatives everyday. What a horrible mess but I've gotten better and I'm now married with 2 terrific kids.

Eating disorders are common and there are many places to get help. I was in therpy for several months and highly recommend it. Life is too short to waste on an eating disorder!
